Richelle Emory is a contemporary small town romance author that has a thing for hot heroes and sassy heroines living near the water. She lives in the sticks with her tractor-loving husband. Together they have raised four kids and one very spoiled French Bulldog.
When she’s not writing, Richelle can be found curled up with a great book and a steaming cup of black tea dreaming of moving to Georgia. Near the beach, of course. Or finishing her dissertation towards her Ed.D. in Leadership.
If you like cuss words, tea, and inappropriate comments…we should be friends!
Books: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover, Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Authors: Melanie Harlow, Catherine Cowles, Kristen Ashley, Colleen Hoover, Claire Kingsley, and way too many others to mention. If it is set in contemporary times, there is a boy and a girl that ultimately get over the hard shit and then find themselves in love…I’m all for it.
Food: Tacos, Pizza, and Macaroni & Cheese. Ok, I’m not 12. I’m well past that but come on…tacos are life. Pizza is the ultimate easy go-to food and I mostly make it from scratch. Mac n cheese is the best comfort food and it pairs well with so many things. I also enjoy crab cakes and steak.
Drinks: Mostly tea and LaCroix. If out and about on vacay pineapple & rum or a local IPA.
Music: Pretty much anything but Raggae. If I had to pick my favorite it would be country. Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Lee Brice, and Miranda Lambert are among my favorites. Give me a ballad that I can sing badly at a high volume and it’s all good. Bonus points if my kids are in the car and it annoys them 😉
Style: I’m best described as a hot mess on any given day. Yoga pants, baggy t-shirts, and messy bun around the house. I have a great collection of snarky t-shirts and a huge list of more that I need! <– This attire also sometimes embarasses the kids. Can you see a pattern here?
Hobbies: Besides writing, finishing grad school, and hanging out with my family I love to cook and bake. I eat a sugar-free diet by choice, so I’m always finding new treats to try. I love graphic and website design. I also love gardening. I have a pretty healthy love of pinning stuff to Pinterest that I won’t make or buy anytime soon. I also enjoy shopping Zillow and Realtor for houses at the beach that I can’t afford.
Dislikes: Cleaning. I loathe cleaning.
